Not gonna lie am all kinds of sore lol. The plan for now is to rest a few days then get back into the gym. This being my first comp I had a lot of fun, I will definitely be competing again. I would like to focus on my overhead pressing, deadlifting and squating.

regular barbell but we used a buffalo power bar so it was 50lbs instead of 45lbs and there were 5lb heavy duty collars on the bar.

Speaking of being sore - I guess I did a bit of a strongman myself last Thursday. I moved to a new house 3 hours away. Included in the move I have a 600 sq ft personal gym including 4,500 lbs of dumbells & free weights, 1,400lbs of rubber flooring plus treadmills, eliptical, tan bed, powerrack, mirrors etc etc that I've accumulated over the years from gyms going out of business and some new stuff.
The movers nearly died too. They weren't listening to me when I told them I had a gym besides personal furniture etc. They started at 8AM and finished at 3:30 AM. After a few ambitious trips up the stairs and out to the truck with weights they soon lost energy and were staring at the rest of the dumbbells resting so I figured they needed a shock. When they watched me with my grey hair grab a pair of 130lb dumbbells and carry them up the stairs and out to the truck followed by the 120’s they quickly got back to work. They even started asking me questions about joining a gym themselves LOL! Seriously though, after a full day of that, I was sore for days. I did some moving, lifting and twisting I wasn’t used to. |
